About Us

About UsWe Take Play Seriously. (Your Students Will Too.)

Pivot to Play® is on a mission to change what happens before the lesson starts — because when kids get to move, everything else clicks into place.

It's Not Just Fun. It's Brain Science.

Stomping. Spinning. Logrolling. Hanging upside down. This is exactly what children's brains need to learn, focus, and thrive in the classroom. Big-body movement isn't a break from learning. It IS learning.

Need better behavior?

When kids get aerobic, their brains release chemicals that fire up theattention system, the motivation system, and the memory system. That's the executive brain — and movement is its on switch. Theresearch is clear: more movement = better behavior, every time.

Too much wrestling and roughhousing?

That child's brain is searching for something — specifically, information about force. Jumping, pushing, pulling, and climbing givethe body the input it craves. Once the brain gets what it needs, thebody stops looking for it in all the wrong places.

Want them to sit still?

Core strength is the secret. A child with a strong core can sit comfortably at a desk or on the floor. Without it, they wiggle — not because they're being difficult, but because their bodies are searching for the stability their muscles can't yet provide.

Ready for them to read?

For letters to stay still on the page, children need a strong focal point— and that develops through cartwheels, somersaults, sliding, and swinging. Without it, letters and numbers literally appear to jump and move. Movement isn't a detour on the road to reading. It's thefoundation.

Got a kid who can't pay attention?

They might just need more time spinning, swinging, and hanging upside down. These movements build a strong vestibular system —the brain's filter for what matters. Without it, everything feels equally important, and focusing on one voice in a busy room becomes nearlyimpossible.
