There are several ways to address talking.

  • Ask for quiet.
  • Use your body and get into their space. 
  • Remind the children that an adult is talking. 
  • Remind the children that they cannot listen to the directions of the game if they are talking.

You are teaching big body play, but you are also teaching self-control. Expect them to practice this skill with you as they learn to control their bodies and mouths.
