Auditory and visual awareness are tied to the other two skills in the Pivot to Play™ Strengths and Skills System: vestibular and proprioceptive development. When we listen, we must be able to filter sounds and discriminate between sounds and the vestibular system plays a key role in our ability to filter distractions, focus and attend. And the vestibular system plays a role in our balance, via our eyes and visual processing, helping to support the stool we talked about in Level 1.
