Topic 6: What Is Eye-Hand Coordination?

Eye-hand coordination is also known as visual motor integration and is the synchronized dance between proprioception, body awareness, spatial and directional awareness as well as visual processing.  But we need this coordination for our eyes to control the movement of our hands.

Too easily we fall into the trap of thinking eye-hand coordination is only a sports skill.  Far from it.  We need this skill to get a Cheerio to the mouth, to button a coat, to brush our teeth, to open a lunchbox and to write.
