There might not seem to be a connection between literacy and movement, but the connection is very real! Though we think of reading and writing when we think of literacy, the word “literacy” can apply to a lot more than just classroom skills. We could be “digitally literate,” “financially literate” or “culturally literate.” And for children to develop appropriately, they need to be physically literate.
