The Pivot to Play Key Strengths and Skills have been divided into 4 categories

  • Perceptual Motor Skills
  • Sensory Skills
  • Strengths
  • Other Skills

There are 18 strengths and skills in the Pivot to Play Strengths and Skills system, all of which are key to social, emotional, behavioral and cognitive success. The more big body activity in our games, the more boxes in the system will be checked.

In our uber competitive culture, we tend to forget that children are hardwired the same way today as they were in the 1800s or even the caveman days. They are still learning their bodies and how to use them and we can’t speed up that time line. When we ask them to do things they aren’t equipped to do, they will have a hard time achieving.
